Trade Bank of Iraq
The Trade Bank of Iraq was founded in 2003 with the purpose of supporting Iraq’s foreign trade by guaranteeing finance for infrastructure projects to help the countries regeneration.
To help promote the Trade Bank’s activities globally, a new website was required which to reflect the achievements and successes of the Bank.
Working with PR agency, Bell Pottinger, Type3 won the contract to design and build the new website.
The Brief
- To develop a new website that targets the key audience of the global banking and investment community.
- To reflect the banks capability, professionalism and credibility.
- To promote the regeneration of Iraq.
- To rebuild awareness/ establish a presence/ position the bank.
- To obtain corporate clients.
Our Solution
We designed and built an xHTML site with a Content Management System developed in .NET. Many cultural aspects had to be taken into consideration when producing the design including issues around certain colour palettes and the use of Arabic text.
- Created a dual language website available in English and Arabic
- Created a full Content Management System with drag and drop capability to allow for regular updates by local users
- Developed a look and feel to reflect the bank’s brand values
- Trained and supported local users in creating localized version
Results
- The site was launched on time to coincide with the Invest in Iraq conference in London, attended by the Prime Minister of Iraq.
- The site was promoted globally through the news networks.
- Type3 worked closely with Bell Pottinger to ensure that the bank’s brand and requirements were successfully transferred to the online environment.
- The site was delivered on budget.
