The Pepsi brand has long supported music, artists and popular culture. The brand wanted to create a cutting edge social music tool that would allow visitors to musically collaborate with people from all over the web. Will.i.am was chosen to create a collaboration from the LMFAO track La La La and 3 user performances submitted to the musical experience.

The Brief

  • To design the Refresh Studio site
  • To design and develop the QuadMasher - a tool that allows users to choose 4 videos, drag them into a tool and create a final video including their four selections
  • To drive traffic to the site through a banner campaign
  • To create Refresh Studio widgets

Our Solution

  • Designed the Refresh Studio look and feel and all associated pages
  • Designed and developed the QuadMasher using Flash
  • Designed and built all Pepsi Refresh Studio banners including static, flash and expandable banners
  • Created two Refresh Studio widgets with RSS functionality that allowed viewers to choose videos from a list and watch within the widget

Results

  • Type3 provided ideas and assistance on a complicated technical project; problem solving and creating viable solutions
  • Type3 worked with a large team including the client and five additional vendors in creating and launching the site and banner campaign
