MTV Best Show Ever is a user-generated, viewer-led show where anyone can stake a claim to being the world's 'best' at whatever they do.
The Brief
- To build and maintain a site that gets users to sign up and upload skill-based content
- To develop a workflow of video footage
- To support the site over the life of the site
- To build the site in 8 European languages
Our Solution
- Flash based interface incorporating show graphics and themed based random animations
- Developed a video upload and conversion system, with a moderation system
- Created a bespoke content management system for managing all the multi-language content
- Supported the site with MTV throughout project lifetime
Results
- The site won "Best cross platform and interactive mobile tv format" at the MIPCOM mobile TV awards 2007
- Swatch, the show sponsor, was so impressed they signed up with an increased budget for 2008
