HP is a technology company that operates in more than 170 countries around the world.

HP's products help people around the world to explore their talents. They wanted to create a destination where people could showcase their talents, and share who they were as individuals.

In order to do this they partnered with YouTube, the second largest search engine in the world, to implement a social brand channel.

The Brief

  • To develop a multi-lingual social brand channel, versioned for 11 countries
  • To implement technologies within the YouTube environment that would allow users to use a webcam, and edit videos on the channel
  • To drive global traffic to the site through a YouTube banner campaign
  • To promote the different stages of the initiative on the brand channel

Our Solution

  • Created graphic based multi-language channel in a quick and efficient manner, working closely with brand managers and translators around the globe
  • Worked closely with Reality Digital, a software company, to apply design to and implement the in channel webcam with editing capabilities
  • Created a flash mast head banner, versioned in each language
  • Created a content refresh strategy based on four phases of the initiative, including design and copy updates

Results

  • The channel received 2, 729, 053 channel views with 6, 176 channel subscribers
  • The channel was one of the most successful brand channels in YouTube history
